ANPR - plates that become a daily list.

Forecourt, curb, yard. Registered and unknown plates with exportable history.

Station, airport, depot and parking operators who need vehicle entry lists without scrubbing every gate camera.

The challenge

Vehicles enter. The list does not.

Forecourts, curbs and yards already have cameras - but who came in still lives in hand logs or scrubbed playback.

  • 01

Gate logs are handwritten or missing

Security knows a vehicle passed; they cannot say which plate without rewatching hours of video.

  • 02

    Registered vs unknown is guessed

Whitelist and visitor vehicles blur together until someone checks a spreadsheet after the fact.

  • 03

    Idle cars block the curb

No-stop zones fill with waiting vehicles while ops have no plate-tied alert to act on.

  • 04

    Incident review starts from zero

After a report at the forecourt, teams scrub gate cameras instead of searching a plate list.

By the numbers

Gate cameras record every plate. Nobody builds the list.

Vehicle control needs readable plates and exportable history - not another hand log.

  • Hand logs

still carry many curb and yard entry records until ANPR is live

    *1

  • Hours

to scrub gate footage after a forecourt incident without a plate index

    *2

  • Idle curb

no-stop zones fill while ops lack plate-tied alerts

    *3

  • *1 Common depot / station ops pattern - vehicle entry still logged manually or reconstructed from CCTV.
  • *2 Typical investigation cost when gate cameras have no searchable plate timeline.
  • *3 Common transit curb / forecourt gap - stopped vehicles without plate-linked alerts.

How we solve it

Read the plate. Build the daily list.

Sentrinel AI ANPR on the cameras you already run - entry lists, event history, and optional stopped-vehicle cues.

  1. 1

    Plates become entries

Registered and unregistered plates read at forecourt, curb, gate and yard zones.

  2. 2

    A list ops can export

Daily entry history with clip evidence - not a chat thread of plate guesses.

  3. 3

    Idle cars get flagged

Optional stopped-vehicle detection in no-stop zones, paired with the plate when optics allow.

  4. 4

    Works with your cameras

Edge AI where optics allow - optional link into wider transit VMS.

This is the simpler path.

ROI conversation

From scrubbed playback to a daily plate list.

ROI shows up as faster entry proof and incident find-back - not more gate cameras.

  • Lists

    instead of hand logs

Daily registered and unknown plate entries for chosen zones.

  • Faster

    forecourt find-back

Search by plate and export history with clip evidence.

  • Clearer

    no-stop enforcement

Optional stopped-vehicle cues paired with plates when optics allow.

Read rates depend on plate angle, distance, lighting and camera quality; discovery scopes which views qualify first.

How it works

From zone map to live plate lists

  1. 01

    Map vehicle zones

Forecourt, curb, gate, yard - which cameras and which lists matter first.

  2. 02

    Tune optics & models

ANPR where plate angle and lighting work; leave weak views for later.

  3. 03

    Enable lists & alerts

Daily entries, optional whitelist / unknown flags, stopped-vehicle cues.

  4. 04

    Train operators

Search by plate, export history, review clips in the shift workflow.

What's in the package

ANPR as a clear transit offer.

Plate recognition and related vehicle modules - scoped so procurement and ops review the same list.

  • Sentrinel AI ANPR on forecourt, curb, gate and yard cameras
  • Registered and unregistered plate recognition
  • Daily entry lists for chosen vehicle zones
  • Exportable event history with clip evidence
  • Optional pairing with stopped-vehicle and transit VMS

After go-live

What teams notice first

  • Know who entered the zone without hand logs

  • Faster review after an incident at the curb

  • Lists ops and security can share

FAQ

ANPR - FAQ.

Security and ops leads comparing plate lists vs scrubbing gate cameras.

Do we need special ANPR cameras?

Often existing IP cameras work where angle, distance and lighting allow a readable plate. Weak views get deferred or upgraded in discovery - we do not promise every curb camera.

Registered and unknown plates?

Yes - recognise both and produce daily entry lists for the zones you choose (forecourt, curb, yard, gate).

Pairs with stopped-vehicle detection?

Optional. Flag vehicles idling in no-stop zones and attach the plate when the same view can read it.

Works with our existing VMS?

Often yes via RTSP/ONVIF. Some sites unify on VVMS; others keep the NVR and add Sentrinel AI ANPR on selected streams.

Pilot one gate first?

Recommended. Prove read rate and list workflow on one forecourt or yard before multi-site roll-out.
